What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We also use similar storage such as localStorage for the same purposes.
Necessary cookies
Clerk session cookies keep you signed in. The language cookie (st_locale) remembers English, Hungarian, or German. The cookie choice cookie (st_cookie_consent) stores this preference, and the same value may be copied to localStorage. In local preview without Clerk, st_preview_auth and st_preview_handle keep the preview session. These are needed to run the site. We do not set Google Analytics 4, Vercel Web Analytics, or social-pixel cookies. Vercel Web Analytics still loads without a cookie so we can see aggregated page views; it is not this cookie banner. Google Ads cookies load only after you accept Analytics and ads.
Cookies we set
On forkply.com (and simpletaply.com while that domain still serves the product) we set: • st_locale: language (about 1 year). • st_cookie_consent: your cookie choice as JSON (about 1 year), sometimes also in localStorage. • Clerk session cookies: keep you signed in. Clerk chooses the names and lifetimes (often including a session cookie such as __session and related Clerk cookies). • st_preview_auth and st_preview_handle: only in local preview when Clerk keys are not configured (about 7 days). • After Analytics and ads consent: Google Ads first-party cookies such as _gcl_aw, _gcl_au, and _gcl_dc (typically up to 90 days), plus sessionStorage st_ad_click for gclid and UTM, and sessionStorage st_aw_conv so a Website visit conversion fires once per path per session. Google may also set cookies on its own domains. When you pay, Stripe Checkout runs on Stripe's domain and may set Stripe cookies there. Those are Stripe's cookies, described in Stripe's policy. Convex does not set a first-party analytics cookie.
Analytics cookies
If you accept Analytics and ads, we load one Google Ads tag (gtag.js) for conversion ID AW-714265731. We fire a Website visit (page view) conversion on the home page, /pricing, /sign-up, and solution pages, value 1 HUF, once per path per browser session. We do not load Google Tag Manager or a second Google tag. We turn off Google ad personalization signals; the tag is for conversion measurement, not a remarketing profile. Google may set first-party cookies on forkply.com (and simpletaply.com while that domain still serves the product) such as _gcl_aw, _gcl_au, and _gcl_dc, and cookies on Google domains. We keep the ad click id and UTM values from the landing URL in sessionStorage (st_ad_click) so they still work if you accept cookies after moving to another marketing page. First-party Insights (views and taps on a public page), short-link click counts (including referrer host, coarse device class, and Vercel country headers), and Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless aggregated page views: path, referrer, coarse location, device type, browser, OS) are part of providing the product. They are not gated by this toggle and they are not a third-party analytics cookie.
